On my 30th birthday I started running. On my 40th I start running for 38 million Poles.
A marathon every day. No exceptions. From September 9, 2026 to June 4, 2029.
Earth's circumference is 40,075 km. 1000 marathons is more than one full lap of the planet — on my own feet.
The first step is the hardest. I'll take it for you 38 million times. One for each of you.
I share where and when I run on Facebook and Instagram. I most often start from Sevenum in the Netherlands — but the route runs through dozens of cities in the Netherlands and Poland.
Want to run a stretch with me, or a whole marathon? Write to me — I'll tell you which day, what time and where I start. Joining is free, no sign-up.
1000 marathons in 1000 days is a project about holding the line despite daily adversity. Weather. Weddings. Illness. Bad days. None of it stops a single marathon.
A marathon every day — 42.195 km. Sometimes at dawn with my son before school. Sometimes at night after a wedding. Sometimes at an official marathon with hundreds of runners. Always the full 42 kilometers.
This isn't just an athletic challenge. It's a daily lesson in consistency — shown publicly for 1000 days straight. In Polish, English, and Dutch. Daily content. Daily presence.
Want me to run a marathon at your place — in your city, club or company? Write to 1000@adriankostera.com. This is an offer for running clubs, organised races, towns and municipalities, hospitals, institutions and companies. For socially-minded initiatives I often come with no fee — I care about carrying this project as far as possible and connecting people in new places on the map.
Become the main partner of the project and travel with it through all 1000 days — daily brand presence in three languages.
A chosen running day branded with your company — with stories, materials and a shared start.
I'll come and run a marathon at your place — for a club, a town, a hospital or a local community.
A talk or conversation with your employees — about persistence, consistency and breaking limits.
Got a product for runners or athletes? I'll test it in the toughest conditions — 1000 days straight.
There are many ways to work together. Write and tell me what you have in mind — we'll find a formula.
