Ten years later he is the creator of the longest triathlon in sports history. He is a TEDx speaker and author of the autobiography "The Product of My Weaknesses". He lives in Venlo, the Netherlands. On his 40th birthday — September 9, 2026 — he starts the project "1000 Marathons in 1000 Days": one full marathon (42.195 km) every day for 1000 consecutive days, until June 4, 2029. "I'm selling three years of my life. To show that the boundaries which seem closed are merely unopened."
— Adrian Kostera
"I worked in a greenhouse and a poultry plant. I know what fatigue is. Running 42 kilometers a day for three years is not harder than eight hours at the conveyor belt — it's just hard in a different way."
— Adrian Kostera
"I'll take the first step for you. Millions of times. If I succeed, every Pole gets their step."
— Adrian Kostera
"Each of these 1000 marathons I also run for Młode Głowy. Because I know the hardest fight happens in the head — and no one should have to fight that fight alone."
— Adrian Kostera
"I'm not just running for the record. I'm running for proof that three years of consistency mean more than one spectacular day."
— Adrian Kostera
